Team Mascot Job at Hamilton Honey Badgers
Opportunity: TeamMascot
The 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League Champions - Brampton Honey Badgers are seeking enthusiastic,
dedicated and active individual(s) with a flexible schedule to dress as our mascots for 2023 season home
games (with the potential to dress for community events and appearances as needed). Selected individuals will
be added to our list of mascots to contact for games and events to become an integral part of our team.
Perform as the mascot personality in the eyes of the public
- Interact with kids and fans during events in a positive and exciting way
- Work with mascot spotter to ensure both fan and mascot safety
- Appearances may also include but not limited to suite visits, crowd prompts, dancing &
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Height Requirement: 5’7-5’10
- Good physical condition with the ability to withstand the demands of performing in a costume
- Expression of a friendly, engaging, enthusiastic & animated personality within a non-speaking role
- Must be comfortable performing & interacting with fans in front of a large crowd
- Ability to be self-sufficient and work individually when needed
- Flexible schedule – Must be able to work home games, nights/weekends and holidays as required
- Prior mascot or related experience preferred but not required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must have completed Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3)
Type of Position: Paid, part-time (Summer 2023 season: May 26 – July 29, 2023)
Compensation: This position pays per game ($100 per game)
