When:

Monday to Friday: 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Hours of work are subject to change with notice where possible.

What we expect:

Performs the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.

  • Accurately completes yard tickets and provides ticket to customer
  • Sorts and deposits material into assigned location
  • Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material
  • Issues deductions for non-conforming material or material of zero value
  • Operates material processing equipment, saws all, quick cuts, shear
  • May use pallet scale to weigh non-ferrous materials
  • May use computer system to input non-ferrous material codes and weights

Operators counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement

  • Transporting materials, bins, skids and hoppers as required
  • Unloading and unloading materials from trailers
  • Sorting large or over size materials with skid steer
  • Completes general housekeeping functions

Provides exceptional customer service building and/or maintaining positive customer relations.

  • Greeting customers
  • Assisting with the removal of material from customer vehicles
  • Resolving general material disputes with customers
  • Forwards unresolved customer disputes to supervision
  • Provides prompt, efficient and effective service
  • Performs burning/torching as directed.
  • Other duties as directed by Manager.

You Have:

  • Values consistent with Triple M Metal LP’s Core Values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Team and Pride.
  • Experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating forklift and skid steer equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Submit or agree to a Criminal Records Search.
  • Previous outdoor working experience is required.
