Technical Support Representative

EH!tel Networks Inc. is one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies in Ontario. Since 2010 EH!tel Networks Inc has been installing FTTH and Wireless service in rural communities such as Southgate Township, West Grey, Waterloo Region, Guelph Eramosa, Bruce County, Grey County, Middlesex and Elgin County. EH!tel Networks is seeking individuals with either past or present support roles.

Job Description:

The duties for the technical support function are varied and based on the number of calls we receive and the nature of the problems that require troubleshooting and fixes. Responsibilities include answering the phones and emails to provide support to customers experiencing technical challenges which include both hardware and software issues. The role will also involve determining and isolating which issues require onsite technical service or network diagnosis to find the root cause of the problems.

Core Skills and Qualifications :

Superior listening skills and problem -solving with diagnostic capabilities to address technical issues that can be resolved on the phone with minimal information.

Ability to use both active listening and passive listening skills to understand customer needs to be able to help resolve issues in a non-confrontational manner. Adaptability to customer skill level in understanding the equipment and how it works which leads to diagnostic trouble shooting.

Excellent computer skills with an understanding of the platforms currently in use and the interface of software and components that are part of the network systems. Knowledge with routing and switching basic network knowledge – VoIP /VLAN assignments.

Time Management and being attentive to address issues and concerns efficiently and accurately.

Education and Certifications :

Post-Secondary education.

Pre- Screening and Security -

All Candidates who will have access to our network and our customers will be required to successfully pass a screening process for security purposes including CPIC.

Remuneration: 22.00 (entry level) to 28.00 with experience and proven capabilities.
