Orillia Auto & Truck Recyclers is currently seeking a Tire Breakdown Technician for our auto recycling facility just south of Orillia. This is a hands-on role which will be responsible for breaking down and sorting tires and rims.

Position Summary

A Tire Breakdown Technician at Orillia Auto and Truck Recyclers is responsible for processing used and new tires. This includes breaking down tires, separating the rims, assessing, sorting and labeling tires and rims. This position requires a valid driver’s license, as employees are required to operate company vehicle within the yard. Processors will need to keep in communication with other employees and practice good housekeeping in order to maintain a safe work environment.

· Using a tire machine to break down tires

· Separating tires from rims

· Assessing tires and rims

· Sorting tires and rims

Skills Required

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently and as a team

· Capability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects

· Written and oral communication skills

· Effective hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail

· Reliable and organized with good communication and able to follow verbal and written instructions

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Must possess valid driver’s license
