Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Tourism, Culture & Sport, and supervised by the Tourism Marketing Coordinator, the Tourism Marketing and Outreach Assistant is a summer student position that will support Tourism Brantford's destination marketing and regional outreach activities. This position will assist the Tourism Marketing Coordinator with social media scheduling, blog writing, e-newsletters, updating the Discover Brantford website, tracking and reporting on media statistics, assisting with media FAM tours and planning for the 2023-24 Visitor Guide. This position will also attend outreach events on behalf of Tourism Brantford to ensure that residents and visitors are aware of the wide range of attractions and events happening in Brantford.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution preferably in a tourism or marketing field of study and returning to school in the fall. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral, as well as knowledge in Microsoft Office and social media (primarily Facebook and Instagram). This position also requires exceptional customer service and the ability to work well in a team environment and independently. The successful candidate must possess a valid "G2" class Ontario Driver's license and have access to a vehicle for attending events on behalf of Tourism Brantford.
