Overview

Clean Harbors is seeking an Temporary Local Training Coordinator (known internally as a Training Coordinator). This position supports the planning, courseware development and configuration, and implementation of on-line and in-person training programs and educational opportunities. This position has direct contact with vendors and employees needing professional and personal assistance in support of fulfilling on-line and live trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Perform daily department functions (e. g. phone coverage, e-mail communication, etc.)
  • Data collection, coordination and analysis from multiple sources
  • Upload, assign, and maintain on-line courses as well as instructor led and on the job trainings
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues for users and mangers regarding the Learning Management System
  • Support employees registering for/taking classes on-line and in live/virtual settings around the United States and Canada
  • Update training program-related processes, procedures, and supporting documentation
  • Send confirmation notices to participants and participant managers
  • Maintain Training Calendar including class additions, subtractions, instructor changes, location changes and all logistics therein
  • Monitoring of class sizes, tracking of participant information
  • Own training activities, such as planning, marketing, scheduling, and classroom setup and training presentations
  • Facilitating program evaluations
  • Maintain training material, and records
  • Manage learner access to webinar events, acting as first-line technical support to all attendees
  • Maintain meeting and training files

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of related experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, and some experience using HTML required
  • Strong writing, proof reading and communications skills; can communicate effectively, both orally and in writing required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
  • Experience working with diverse customer populations with focus on customer satisfaction required
