We are looking for a detail-oriented Treasury Analyst with a strong background in banking and cash management.

This individual will be used to working in a fast paced, transaction-oriented, environment. They should have demonstrated the ability to keep track of details in transactions they may be responsible for while at the same time understanding the overall priorities of the treasury function and their responsibilities as a member of a team.

Experience either working at, or as a customer closely with, the commercial/corporate cash management product and service groups at a bank is highly desired. Background in accounting would be an asset. This position will report directly to the Manager of Treasury. Treasury Analysts responsibilities include:

  • Establishing, maintaining & closing bank accounts
  • Daily cash balance consolidation and reporting
  • Ensuring receipt and quality control of daily bank data files
  • Payment Processing of EFT, ACH and wire transactions
  • Miscellaneous banking (i.e. cheque status, stop payments, verifications, Letters of Credit, etc.)
  • Loan drawdowns and repayment transactions (construction & investment related)
  • Updating debt management system with draws, repayments & rate details
  • Work with Finance team to ensure postings of treasury transactions
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as required

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a banking or treasury environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or economics
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and their uses
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, ability to work independently and others when required
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced, high growth environment
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
