Tree Seedling Pesticide Applicator Job at Industrial Forestry Service Ltd.
Reporting to the Grower, general responsibilities and duties include:
· apply pesticides to forest seedlings in a diligent and conscientious manner
· be organized and perform work efficiently with respect to productivity
· keep accurate records related to pesticide application work
· follow company policies, safe work procedures and training
· operate mobile equipment in a safe and competent manner
No experience is required as the successful candidate will receive extensive on-the-job training.
Key qualifications include:
· valid driver’s license
· be reliable and have own transportation
· good organizational and skills
· reading and arithmetic
· ability to obtain a BC Pesticide Applicators Certificate
· capable of extensive walking in both greenhouse and outdoor work environments with exposure to outdoor weather and temperature extremes
Wages and Benefits:
· The wage offered for this position will be commensurate on experience and abilities
· MSP and Extended Health Benefits are available
· After one full year of employment, inclusion into the IFS pension plan
