    We are seeking a professional, determined, and enthusiastic HSE Coordinator to oversee both our Grande Prairie, AB and Fort St. John, BC locations.

    Position Overview
    Reporting to the QHSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator is based in Grande Prairie, AB and has the overall responsibility for maintaining the health, safety & environmental system. The purpose of this role is to provide safety leadership, guidance and support to QHSE Manager and improve health, safety & environmental performance at all levels of the organization.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Administration of environmental, health and wellness programs and safety/environmental awareness initiatives, as well as on the floor leadership to promote a culture of safety
    • Maintain training records for HSE standards
    • Conduct new employee and contractor safety orientations and related paperwork.
    • Monitor, maintain, and manage workflow of Bistrainer for incident, near miss, and corrective action reporting.
    • Monitor third-party compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, Complyworks, Avetta & Ariba
    • Mentor employees on safety requirements and regulations
    • Lead minor incident investigations
    • Prepare and host monthly safety meetings
    • Participate in JHSC committee
    • Monthly reports/logs on safety violations, accidents, near misses, open cases, corrective action and incident reporting to relevant authorities
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
    • 2-3 years related experience.
    • Energy Safety Canada Auditor certification or experience is an asset.
    • Fleet management knowledge an asset.
    • Clean drivers abstract.
    • Valid safety certifications are an asset: First Aid, Common Safety Orientation, H2S Alive
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Superior detail orientation: values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Process thinker, with high degree of initiative and ability to work independently and apart of a team.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and priority management skills.
    • Proficient computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
    • Strong focus on HSE continuous improvement.

    The successful candidate must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug & alcohol testing as this position is deemed safety sensitive. The successful candidate will be required to travel to Fort St. John once per month.
