Role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Warehouse Team Member plays an important part in the overall productivity of the plant. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a physically demanding position and has a demonstrated commitment to quality and high attention to detail.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Abides by the companies Health and Safety, HAACP & GMP policies.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety in all tasks which includes, but is not limited to, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment, using safe lifting techniques, the following lock-out, tag-out procedures, appropriate use, handling and storage of chemicals, etc.
  • Ensures all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Primarily responsible for picking, wrapping, and preparing orders for customers.
  • Informs supervisor and/or maintenance of any equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintains work area in a clean manner.
  • Performs general housekeeping in warehouse cooler and freezer.
  • Ensures that that FIFO (first in first out) is followed at all times.
  • Accurate picking of a variety of products
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic with high attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time
  • Ability to use electric and manual pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Ability - regularly bend, kneel, and crouch throughout the shift – a lot of repetitive work (lifting)
  • Successful completion of chemical handling and cleaning training – in house training
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with specified deadlines
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Schedule:

  • Full-time position, Sunday to Thursday, 8 hour shifts 40 hours per week (some evening work required)
  • Sixty (0.60 cent) premium for hours worked after 4pm and on Sundays
