Position Description
We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Team Lead, Reporting and Analytics that leads the improvement of data collection, analysis, presentation, and use of data to drive improvements in care provided and outcomes achieved, and reports to the Senior Director, Performance and Analytics. The Team Lead, Reporting and Analytics will be pivotal to elevating the level of health care analyses and ensuring that indicators measured and reported are driving change across the organization.

The Team Lead, Reporting and Analytics has a key role in working with multiple parts of the organization, executive leadership, external agencies and research partners to stay abreast of current trends and emerging practices and tools in mental health, performance measurement, analytics and information management. This position will develop and design reporting frameworks and scorecards to be utilized across the organization by executive leadership. The incumbent will oversee cross-team analysis and reports on health services data, performance measures, indicator and scorecard development, needs assessments, and measurement of impacts. You will develop and refine indicators to measure key organizational goals as well as, develop technical specifications, data review, and dissemination of the results, and encourage performance improvement opportunities. You will manage the preparation of reports and analyses for a variety of audiences, including the Senior Management Team, LHIN committees and work groups, the Board of Directors and in some case patients or the public. You will utilize skill and knowledge to translate complex technical information into common, understandable language for these highly variable audiences. You will be required to contribute advice and input from a performance measurement and analytic perspective to leadership teams for the development of plans and various projects related to the strategic goals of CAMH. You will prepare and deliver recommendations to executive leadership regarding areas of focus and changes required to effect change.

The Team Lead, Reporting & Analytics will work with the Senior Director of Performance & Analytics and the Director of Health Information Management to provide direction, leadership, and support to ensuring the continual and seamless operations for the organizational governance structures for Data & Reporting. This role will oversee the organizational Centralized Intake Process to ensure timely access to high quality data requests.

This role will encompass leading team planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Informatics, Health Administration, Epidemiology, Statistics or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in data/statistical analysis, measurement and evaluation, or health informatics. Experience working in the healthcare sector is a requirement. You have demonstrated quantitative research, and analytical skills, including knowledge syntheses and report preparation and writing.

You are experienced in the creation, analysis or managing patient data and/or decision support tools. You are able to analyze, construct, interpret, explain and present data crisply and cogently to senior executives and non-technical audiences. The incumbent will possess a depth of knowledge of statistical techniques, collection, analysis and processing of data along with a good knowledge of and proven ability to apply multiple planning and analysis methodologies and make effective recommendations. A requirement of this role is strong numeracy skills to analyze data and communicate data visually as well as demonstrated computer and statistical skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAS, SPSS, ArcGIS). You are proficient with various databases used to capture information in various health sectors including: Hospital databases (e.g. CIHI DAD, NACRS, OMHRS); Community Databases (e.g. IAR, Community Business Intelligence), and provincial/regional data repositories (intellihealth, IDS, HSP360) with a comprehensive understanding of the Ontario health-care system and issues. You possess excellent written communication skills to develop clear reports and analyses of data which will support strategic decision-making and priority-setting for a variety of audiences, including the CEO and Senior Management Team, committees and work groups, clinical and non-clinical colleagues, the Board of Directors, and the public. Excellent judgment, tact and diplomacy to work with diverse teams and stakeholders in combination with the demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information is vital to being successful in this role. You will have excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will support an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect and diversity. Experience working in mental health is an asset. Candidates require the ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
