Wastewater Transmission Supervisor

The Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission (ACRWC) is an ISO 14001 registered regional services commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to over 300,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. The ACRWC owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant. Our mission is to provide responsible transmission and treatment for member municipalities. The ACRWC facility is located near the North Saskatchewan River just north of Sherwood Park, AB.

The Transmission Supervisor is a member of the Operations team, your main responsibilities will include:

· Oversee planning, supervision, and direction of all dedicated nine-hour day transmission operations staff.

· Participate in the preparation of operating budgets and monitoring expenditures.

· Oversee and administer the transmission maintenance contractor.

· Coordinate other contractors and consultants as required.

· Oversee Transmission and Pumpstation system maintenance program (PM’s and CM’s).

· Manage emergency repairs of transmission system.

· Oversee air relief replacement program.

· Works closely with all the Operations Supervisors to prioritize maintenance activities of all ACRWC assets.

· Coordinate CCTV gravity line inspections.

· Oversee crossing agreements in our right of ways.

· Coordinate updates and maintains the GIS and transmission drawings.

· Oversee and tracks Canadian Locators and One Call locate transmission contract.

· Liaison with property owners in proximity of our right of ways and assets.

· Support Capital program regarding the transmission system.

· Support environmental approvals.

Applicants require a Level 3 Operating designation in Collection systems or working towards the designation. The successful candidate must be well organized and effectively manage shifting priorities. This position is a permanent full-time position. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
