Weekend Crew - General Labour / Manufacturing Job at Lonestar Lumber

WEEKEND WORK - Saturday's / Sunday's - Flexible Hours
Lonestar Lumber is looking to increase production by operating 7 days a week. With this, we are in need of a weekend crew! This crew will be specifically for weekend work.

Duties:
- Physically demanding
- Processing lumber by running lumber through various types of saws to cut lumber to correct lengths and thicknesses
- Use of automated machines, as well as hand tools - specifically nail guns
- Pulling rough lumber off lifts; re-stacking completed boards into lifts
- Able to read specs and follow verbal instruction
- Required to keep manual record of daily actions for each shift
- Work is located inside a mill, which will be dusty and loud
- Steel toed boots and face masks are mandatory, gloves and safety glasses are required, ears plugs are recommended. We can supply PPE, but they are then deducted for cost from pay cheque.
- Fast pace, repetitive, able to work long hours on feet, also involves bending, lifting and reaching
Please note: we are located in an industrial area with limited bus access.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: From $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
