We are looking for a dynamic, innovative thinker that is ready to let their creativity flag fly as the Learning Specialist in our WorkBC Duncan office. The Learning Specialist is responsible for providing support in the planning, designing, developing, and coordination of changes to our existing Learning Management System. This work includes delivering all related internal and external training to use and promote the system. Working in conjunction with our Training Specialist, the Learning Specialist will train community providers and agencies on how to use the Virtual WorkBC Centre; and develop and evaluate learning and training methodology and curriculum content.
Essential Qualifications and required skills:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Public Administration, Education, Social Sciences, or related
- Online Learning Certification
- 3 years experience working with an LMS(s), preferably in a related field
- 3 years professional experience developing, evaluating curriculum, and facilitating
- Web design and WordPress experience an asset
- Marketing experience an asset
- Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with all levels of contacts; formulating concepts and developing strategies and solutions for training needs
- Making oral presentations to diverse groups, including all Inclusion Groups
- Create marketing material for both online and other mediums
- A clear criminal record check and a COVID-19 Vaccine Passport

Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Wage: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
