Who You'll Work With


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will work with the broader Finance team, sharing learnings and best practices with other Finance individuals across the organization. The position will work closely with business operational leaders to provide advice and guidance on complex financial transactions and work with the Finance Manager to rollout accounting policies and frameworks across the businesses.


What You'll Be Doing


The Accountant will support the Finance Manager in performing and reviewing full-cycle accounting for various entities within the company. This role is integral to the success of the team and will act as a trusted partner to various stakeholders, being a key player in enhancing reporting timeliness and transparency to support decision-making.

  • Review accounting transactions for data accuracy and proper treatment of transactions
  • Responsible for full full-cycle accounting for various entities within the company
  • Prepare and review monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting packages
  • Analyze and review monthly/quarterly financial data, perform variance analyses to identify and investigate unexpected changes, and provide meaningful insights to business leaders
  • Support the Finance Manager in implementing internal controls and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency within the multiple business entities
  • Assist with corporate requests, such as audit requirements and information gathering for public company reporting or financial statement consolidation
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation is maintained for financial processes at the local entity level
  • Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improvement, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and duties as required


What You Need to Be Successful

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting experience
  • Working towards a CPA designation
  • Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel as well as QuickBooks

What You Need to Stand Out

  • CPA designation
  • Experience in working in a publicly traded organization an asset
