Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Brantford, Ontario area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position. The Accounts Payable Clerk tasks will consist of matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
• Implement full-cycle A/P
• Spreadsheet and database capabilities
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Automated Payroll experience highly desired
• High attention to detail
• Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
