Accounts Associate - Payables & Receivables - FULL TIME
Yen Bros., Food Service (2011) Ltd., is a progressive foodservice distributor with more than 4 decades of business history. It’s family-owned and serves customers six days a week across Vancouver and the lower mainland, from Abbotsford to Vancouver Island, Whistler, and the Sunshine Coast.

To provide efficient and courteous delivery and pickup of our products to customers across the Vancouver area keeping business expansion we are looking Accounts Associate - Payables and Receivables - Full Time to serve our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
- Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
- Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements:
Minimum age of 19 years
A Business diploma or equivalent accounting education or post-secondary education in Business or Accounting with 2 years of work experience
Excellent hand-eye- coordination and ability to maintain focus while carrying out repetitive tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills and Business communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated experience in a professional office environment
Proficiency in Computers with excellent skills in Excel, spreadsheets, vLookups, Pivot Tables
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to adapt to new systems and work process
Experience in Accounting reconciliations
The ability to lift/occasionally from 20 Lbs. to 30 Lbs. of documents boxes
Good Attendance Record
Energetic and carry a positive work ethic
Able to Speak, write, read, and comprehend English
Working conditions:
Week shift schedule of 5 days a week
Extended business work hours as needed
Fast-paced Warehouse work environment
Exposure to mobile equipment traffic and noise conditions
Physically demanding- required long periods of sitting and working on computers
Required occasional lifting of document boxes
