Description: A person whose primary function is to perform accounting or procurement duties requiring extensive knowledge. Performs complex administrative work such as data compilation and reporting, analysis, complex calculations and other related tasks.

The incumbent may assume autonomous responsibility within the environment for the coordination, organization of work and quality control of a range of administrative, secretarial or clerical tasks.

Reporting to: The Executive Director

Responsibilities: As a member of the Administrative team you will be responsible:

  • To process full cycle accounting for the Accounting department and the Foundation and to reconcile bank accounts as required.
  • To assist the administrative team with benefits reconciliation and preparation of T4’s.
  • To communicate as needed with suppliers regarding invoices, payments or supplies.
  • To collect and prepare financial information required for Board meetings.
  • To read all Provincial communiqués and to advise Human Resources or Accounting when the communique is relevant to Elizabeth House.
  • To prepare, code and validate the pay and to perform all relevant related processes as per established guidelines.
  • To support Human Resources in all aspects of hiring.
  • To be an information Technology support to all staff as needed.
  • To assist in other Administrative and / or Clinical areas as needed.
  • To perform all other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must have a college diploma (DEP) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office techniques or other appropriate college discipline of a school recognized by the relevant ministry.
  • Must be bilingual, French and English, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as required.
  • Must have a strong willingness to learn administrative procedures.
  • Must be detailed orientated.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work within set deadlines.
  • Must have the capacity to write reports in a professional manner.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with complex computer programs such as Logibec / Espresso would be considered an asset.
  • Must have previous experience in a culturally diverse milieu with demonstrated sensitivity and openness to cultural differences.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • NOTE: testing will take place as part of the interview process.
