This competition will be used to fill current and future vacancies for wage, temporary and permanent Administrative Support positions as part of the Administrative Talent Pool. Part-time opportunities may be available.

Candidates who are successful in the selection process will be placed in a Talent Pool. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time. This competition will be used to create an eligibility list of qualified candidates to fill upcoming opportunities.

We are looking for candidates (currently and in the future) in the following locations:

  • Northeast Alberta: Athabasca, Fort McMurray, Lac La Biche, St. Paul and Westlock
  • Northwest Alberta: Grande Prairie, High Level, High Prairie and Whitecourt

Alberta. These entry-level administrative positions focus on many areas of support and we want to get you started on your new and exciting profession!

We are looking for team players who can think and work independently as well as support team members doing a variety of duties, while adhering to policies, procedures and processes. In addition, you will exercise your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to ensure the day-to- day administrative duties are carried out smoothly.

Your strong attention to detail and accuracy will help you prepare correspondence and a variety of documents. Your exceptional relationship building skills will help you provide customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Your desire to excel and

achieve results will make you an asset to any team. In addition, excellent communication skills dealing with individuals in person, over the phone, virtually and in a variety of written formats (e-mail, letters, etc.) will help you be effective in any administrative support role. Your organizational and prioritization skills will assist you in meeting deadlines while producing quality work that will lead to your success.

Our Administrative positions provide support to a wide range of operations within the GOA. The responsibilities assigned to a role may be focused on one type of work or may be a combination from various administrative support categories in the following areas:

Program Support
Office and Administrative Support
Financial Support
Call Centre Support
Legal Support

Qualifications

  • High School diploma plus a minimum of two years of related administrative experience
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Minimum of one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products

(Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Required skills: verbal and written communication skills, client service, attention to detail

Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of 1 year of experience for 1 year of education or 1 year of education for 1 year of experience
