Your role
CBC/Radio-Canada’s Shared Services Centre (SSC) is a reliable, one-stop resource that provides quality, timely and consistent service while focusing on delivering an excellent client experience to all employees, clients and vendors.
As the Administrative Support - Level 2, you play an important role within the Financial Services of the department.

This department is responsible for:
  • Accounts Receivable.
  • Billing.
  • Accounts Payable.
  • Administration of the corporate credit cards program.

The role is mainly but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process journal entries for AR operations, apply payments and reconcile client accounts and AR general ledgers.
  • Support the collection group to recover balances from various debtors so that the Corporation receives any amounts owed to it in a timely manner.
  • Support the billing group to process sales orders and invoices for several activities.
  • Other Accounts Receivable operations.
  • Support AP operations as needed.
Key Tasks:
  • Clear, post and reconcile payments received either by cheque, electronic transfer or credit card.
  • Resolve short payments, reconcile the general ledger.
  • Review aging reports, reconcile accounts.
  • Process journal entries for AR operations, including the allowance for doubtful accounts.
  • Ensure communication with the sales department, the Treasury group and other stakeholders in order to resolve AR disputes.
  • Review with the collectors and clients, as needed, the discrepancies identified on the client accounts.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the overall SSC Financial Services department, which may include but not limited to credit card management, account payables and billing.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of at least 2 years of experience in a related field or similar organization.
  • Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
  • Knowledge of SAP (Asset).
  • Advance knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions and data handling) and Microsoft products.
  • Good knowledge of sales taxes.
  • Attention to detail, strong concentration skills required.
  • Good analytical skills and strong ability to solve a variety of problems.
  • Strong judgement, initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities and meet multiple, tight deadlines.
  • Discretion, diplomacy and tact in communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a good team player.
  • Ability to work overtime, as and when required.
