Soy-Max Proteins Inc. Established in 2016 is a 1st Class, Family Farm-Owned Soybean Plant in the heart of the prairies in Rural MB, just 20 mins west of Winnipeg.
Soy Max Proteins Supplies quality Naturally processed Soy Ingredients to Feed Mills and Livestock Producers all across the Prairies. we are currently looking for Hard-working and Self Motivated Individuals to Join our team in maintaining our facility and maintaining quality control within our Process.

Responsibilities

  • Evening/Night shift: General Plant Operations And Maintenance
  • Oversee the safe efficient operation and maintenance of a 1st class Soybean Processing Facility
  • Being involved with efficiency improvements is very important: efficiencies within the operation, monitoring equipment, and assessing risks and hazards in order to avoid accidents or downtime.
  • Quality control: involving the process, documenting, testing, and grading product.
  • General Overall Cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of the facility.
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards outlined in qualification for HACCP/ ISO 22 000 in all areas of the warehouse and grounds.
  • Operating terminal controls, plant software, and processing equipment.
  • Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships between shift changes, staff, and management.
  • Bring positive attitudes, great ambition to peers/customers in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic, ability to learn, and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to operate computers with plant software and PLCs in context with processing equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of grain grading and grain handling equipment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with grain-handling equipment and processes (hammer mills, bucket elevators, drag conveyors, augers, gearboxes, oil presses ) is an important asset.
  • Fit condition to handle the physical aspects of the Job.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and heights, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Able to Climb ladders and stairs up to 50 feet high.
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • High school education or equivalent

Salary: $20.00 per hour
