North American Staffing Services is looking for General Helpers to work in an Auto Manufacturing unit to work in Brampton, ON.
Job Title:
- General Helper/ Material Handler
Pay Rate:
- $19 per hour
Shift Timing:
- Morning Shift/ 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Duties:
- Assist tool makers and machine fitters in performing tasks on the shop floor
- Operate, various tools and equipment
- Assist with drilling, sawing, painting, etc.
- Safely perform assigned tasks and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, and maintain clean surroundings
- Communicate necessary information to the supervisors and consult supervisors if not 100% sure how to perform a certain task
- Perform the tasks accurately and efficiently as assigned
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Knowledge of PPE and usage in different areas
- Previous tooling/machine shop experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to work as a team member and individually
- Crane and Forklift License is an asset, otherwise, training will be provided
