RICHMOND TERRACE LONG TERM CARE HOME Amherstburg, ON

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

The Associate Director of Care reports to the Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for providing quality resident care and supervises the care team. The Associate Director of Care will oversee care in a safe, efficient manner with attention to all procedures and policies. This position assesses daily resident care needs, develops and distributes resident care assignments appropriately. Provides input in staff evaluations in conjunction with the Director of Nursing or designate.

BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervised experience as an RPN is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist residents, family members or others with concern and empathy; respecting their confidentiality and privacy and communicating in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Politically and culturally sensitive
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.
  • Must be able to be depended upon to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion.
  • Must be ethically aligned with the corporate Mission, Vision, Values.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $61,971.00-$72,306.00 per year
