Our client, a respected manufacturer of custom truck bodies and equipment, is looking for a Paint Prep Technician in Milton.

Job Description

• Sanding and prepare truck bodies to be painted, assist in painting as required
• Review and interpret paint specifications and requirements
• Determine and follow the appropriate mixing requirements for single stage paint application
• Ability to confirm if bodywork is acceptable and conforms to drawing specification
• Quality checks and mil thickness reporting
• Maintain stock and report requirements on product.
• General maintenance of paint equipment and cleaning as required.

Shift

• Day shift, 6:00am - 3:30pm

Skills

• Knowledge of the requirements for proper application of paint.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety
• Excellent work ethic with a focused pride of workmanship
• Self motivated and meticulous
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Agile, dexterous and physically able to lift up to 50lbs
• English communication - oral and written

Experience & Education

• Experience in similar role
• 310B certification an asset
• Experience with wet paint pressure pot application an asset
• Experience applying PPG Delfleet evolution product an asset (commercial vehicles)

Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
