Parts Technician will support customers with phone in, walk in, email, and website parts inquiries as well as supporting all internal parts inquiries from the Service Department as a primary role. Additional roles included and not limited to organizing/maintaining parts inventory, shipping and receiving area housekeeping, cycle counting, shipping and receiving of parts and equipment, estimating, invoicing, assisting Service department as a secondary role and customer follow ups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehend customer requirements; make appropriate recommendations while building a positive relationship with customers
  • Support customers with phone in, walk in, email, and website parts inquiries as well as supporting all internal parts inquiries from the Service Department.
  • Organizing/maintaining parts inventory, shipping and receiving area housekeeping, cycle counting, shipping and receiving of parts and equipment, estimating, invoicing, and customer follow ups.
  • Report, review, update, and maintain the companies Parts Department operating systems while conducting all transactions through the companies Quick Books accounting programs
  • Assist the Service Department with all service and part inquiries / quotes while maintaining the parts portion of the Barben preventative maintenance program
  • Responsible for providing timely invoicing and estimates
  • Provide technicians with documents, and parts listings if required
  • Participate in morning toolbox meetings updating the team daily on changing parts delivery dates, freight concerns or special shipping instructions etc.
  • Maintain daily forklift inspections and report any concerns to the safety officer or management
  • Contact customers via phone or email to obtain purchase order numbers or additional methods of payment
  • Investigating complaints, resolving problems while following company policies and procedures in order to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • First point of contact for all Parts Department calls
  • Study equipment and system requirements in order to gain knowledge of the Compressed Air systems to better assist clients
  • Manage all work in progress, in-coming and out-going freight documents
  • Manage parts warranty claims and freight warranty claims while updating customers or internal departments
  • Follow up with customers to verify customer concerns have been rectified
  • Perform all tasks independently in a timely and efficient manor while working within companies COR safety program and policy manual
  • Maintain customer confidence by being punctual, professional, and focused on task
  • Participate in educational opportunities, professional publications, product seminars, and customer satisfaction instruction
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers while researching and developing new vendor relations
  • Empower team members, share ideas, training, experiences across organization
  • Will be responsible to the Service Manager, and inside Sales / Service Support team who will assist in training, daily work flow, procedures and protocol as required
  • Engage with all staff and departments within the organization
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company vision, mission, values and goals in all interaction with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Protect the financial and legal welfare of the company while making day to day decisions
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Training provided in all areas specific to the Compressed Air Industry and designated roles

Qualifications/Skills Required Must be willing to fulfill the role and responsibilities set forth by the company; must have a valid class 5 driver’s license ; driver’s abstract; must be bondable and insurable; must have reliable transportation to and from office location

  • Candidates with Compressed Air Industry training or competitor experience with OEM training on one or more compressor brand such as Sullair, Kaeser, Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Sullivan Palatek, Boge, FS-Elliott, Atlas Copco, and / or Chicago Pneumatic compressors will take priority.
  • Candidates with 1-3 years experience with compressed air systems including but not limited to air dryers, and filtration will take priority
  • Candidates with Automotive, HD, Industrial, Rotating equipment parts experience will all be considered. Must be willing to learn the specialized Compressed Air Industry
  • Must have minimum 2-3 years customer service experience
  • Must have general mechanical knowledge and be willing to learn and adapt to technical changes in equipment, design, or operation
  • Must be capable and fluent in spoken / written English as a primary language
  • Must be able to travel outside of Country for training if required
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, have ability to work in a team environment
  • Be proficient with basic computer operating system (Microsoft Windows) Word, Excel and Smart phones etc.
  • Must be willing to obtain training in Quick Books and Mobile Maintenance Applications
  • Standard first Aid is required

This is a Salary type position. Salary based on experience and knowledge within the range of 50-60K per annum. We appreciate interest from all applicants but only qualified individuals will be contacted!
