Automotive Mechanic Apprentice
A well-established, successful manufacturing company in Guelph, Ontario is looking to hire a Mechanic Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great team atmosphere.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Repair and maintain machinery in accordance with local codes, diagrams, sketches, engineering drawings, manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Protect self and others by performing job functions in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements for a safe working environment.
- Give and receive oral and written instructions; read technical literature and manufacturer's specifications; write maintenance and job reports to company requirements; use computer and job maintenance software for specific applications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Qualifications
- One to three years experience
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Able to work in a team and to handle priorities under pressure
- Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practices
- Mechanical maintenance experience is necessary
- Automotive mechanic apprentice a strong asset
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
