OK Tire North Surrey is looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our OK Tire service team. We are looking for someone who is highly ambitious, passionate and a team player that will uphold the values of OK Tire!

The Automotive Service Technician position is open to individuals who have experience within the automotive industry.

ROLE & RESPONSIBLITIES

• Perform vehicle inspections, repair diagnostics and maintenance work in accordance to vehicle manufacturer standards.

• Perform work in an efficient and safe manner.

• Examining vehicles to determine if further work is required

• Road testing vehicles as required to ensure quality work.

• Perform other duties as required.
• Keep the shop neat and tidy to ensure safety.

• Perform basic to high level technical maintenance.

• Perform tire changes, rotation, wheel alignments, oil change services.

• Perform quality work that exemplifies pride and workmanship

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Must be a fully licensed technician with Red Seal and or ASE certification
• Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes, Including BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, Land Rover, Lexus, Infiniti, Genesis, Toyota Honda, GMC, Cadillac is an asset.
• Experience working on luxury exotic and classic vehicles is a highly regarded asset.

• The desire to learn and excel in a shop environment that services a multitude of vehicles from various manufacturers.

• The ability to work effectively in a team environment while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Completing work in a timely, safe, and efficient manner

• Reporting of failures, errors, deviations, and damages

• Honesty and integrity.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Strong foundation , understanding and application of technical automotive knowledge

• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, sound judgment and attention to detail.

• Self-motivated with the desire to continuously learn.

• Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.

• Strong time management and organizational

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly.

• Be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.

Other requirements:

• Valid Canadian driver’s license and the ability to provide a current drivers abstract.

• Basic command of the English Language.

• Legal right to work in Canada.

Salary: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
