Job Summary

The Information Technology Services Office supports the BC Public Service Agency by providing contract management, technical solutions, reporting and data analytics, privacy and security (including Freedom of Information (FOI)), facilities management, project management, business analysis, and application support.

The Information Technology Services Office’s Contract Management team is accountable for the delivery of Human Resource/Payroll (HRMS) services to all Ministries, as well as several broader public sector clients, through the execution of an outsourced contract with TELUS Employer Solutions, and a relationship with Oracle/PeopleSoft. The Contract Management team also has responsibility for expanding the HRMS license footprint; workplace transformation; and expansion of HRMS functions by understanding the needs and directions of the Province and broader public sector clients.

The Contract Specialist manages activities within the deal management lifecycle for complex contracts that are considered high profile, high risk, high dollar value and politically sensitive.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e., procurement and contract management learning and development, risk management or law) and *related experience; OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and *related experience may be considered.

  • Related experience must include a combination of 2 years in the following:
  • Experience in the procurement life cycle and analyzing complex issues, evaluating, options and recommending solutions.

  • Experience working in contract management.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Public sector experience in contract management.

About this Position:

There is currently one (1) permanent position available.
An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.

This position can be based in any of the following Public Service Agency offices: Victoria, Vancouver, Kamloops, Nelson, Nanaimo, and Prince George.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.

This position is excluded from union membership.
