What you’ll do

• Perform Level 1 and 2 services within the allotted time allowances
• Perform complex service procedures to maintain and repair bicycle components
• Building boxed bikes to be ready for the sales floor
• Troubleshooting bicycle computer and other electronic problems
• Ability to service write when required and interact efficiently and professionally with customers
• Checking over new bicycle purchases and installing accessories
• Cleaning the service department and maintaining an organized and tidy working area
• Answering service-related phone calls and e-mails
• Continuous learning through Shimano S-Tec videos, Trek University videos and Ascend University courses online

What you’ve done

• Education Level- High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior Experience- Must have one year of bike mechanic experience. Must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills.
• Specific skills- Attention to detail and time management. Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner with both customers and coworkers.
• Personal characteristics- Able to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines. Must have a positive attitude and be driven to assist every customer and recommend the best service options available for their bicycle.
• Physical abilities- Can lift boxes or items around 30 pounds and is comfortable working on ladders.
