We are looking for a Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a solid work ethic, collaborative attitude, is extremely organized, enjoys routine, yet can switch gears at a moment’s notice. Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent and superior service to all internal and external customers through effective relationship management.
  • Handle customer inquiries/complaints in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Understand and utilize computer systems to efficiently process client orders, access client history and access product information.
  • Provide customers with appropriate product information – including but not limited to price, inventory levels, and product applications.
  • Deal with escalated issues and look for solutions that are win-win for both the customer and the business.
  • Support the strategic development of the department for growth by upselling via regular channels, attending education classes and reviewing deal sheets, monthly & sale day flyers to ensure up-to-date knowledge of products & procedures.
  • Participate in up-sell and spiff programs by actively suggestive selling to clients to achieve department and individual sales goals.
  • Work with assigned DSCs, Salons, and Schools to achieve sales growth objectives.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of all MBS business and client information.

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
  • 1-3 years of customer service/call centre experience preferred
  • Bilingual in spoken and written English & French
  • Proficiency with MS Office, customer management software, and AS400 an asset
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to consistently deliver superior customer experience
  • Possess exceptional prioritization skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and to take initiative
  • Outstanding attention to detail & multi-tasking abilities
  • Proven track record in being resourceful and finding solutions which benefit the customer

Additional

Location: 3695 Barrington St., Halifax, NS B3K 2Y3. Hybrid eligible (remote & onsite shifts).

Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours), Permanent.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 830-5pm.
