PART TIME BOOKKEEPER

We are looking for a permanent part time bookkeeper to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain further bookkeeping experience with a degree of flexibility.

The successful candidate will report to the property managers, director and CEO as required. The position will be located out of our Waterloo office.

Job Responsibilities:
-Prepare monthly financial reports, remittances, reconciliation
-Maintain general ledger of accounts through regular record keeping including general data entry, verifying, allocating and posting transactions/expenses
-Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
-Research account transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies
-Scan and file invoices into software and physical folders to maintain record keeping; other clerical work as needed
-Utilize various accounting software and property management systems
-Work with company accountants and other accounting team members to provide any necessary information and aide in the year end statements/taxes
-Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
-Data entry
-Writing and issuing cheques/payments

Qualifications:
-Minimum two (2) years of experience in full cycle book-keeping, including posting accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
-Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
-Technologically inclined and experience utilizing QuickBooks, excel and other accounting software
-Multitasker with the ability to handle 20+ property accounts
-Goal oriented, self-starter and reliable individual

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
