We have a unique opportunity for a unique individual that has seasoned B2B experience. We’re looking for a proven Account Manager (Outside Sales) to join our sales team to support the growth of existing customers and actively develop and grow new customers, markets and products.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Actively develop customer acquisition strategies to achieve and exceed performance goals
  • Identify and harvest new customers, markets and products to drive profitable growth
  • Cold call new territories and channels to create new sales relationships
  • Create and maintain account analysis, annual sales plans and forecasts to optimize sales; Evaluate tenders and submit bids
  • Contribute to, and provide consultative support to senior leadership in the development of sales and customer service objectives and goals
  • Travel to customer and/or event location as required (may include overnight stay)
  • Prepare reports, statistics, updates and proposals for new ventures and opportunities
  • Develop strong professional relationships with Public Safety departments and aligned influential consumers within the assigned territory
  • Maintain contact with all clients in the territory to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Actively participate in local industry-related events
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
  • Responsible for identifying and building effective networking with clients and colleagues.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum three (3) years proven success in profitable sales and business development
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Retired or transitioning public safety professional is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of tactical gear and apparel is an asset
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated capability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet tight timelines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; Experience in successfully preparing procurement requests
  • Exemplary team player
  • Confident, dynamic and flexible personality with entrepreneurial spirit

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field (Business, Administration, Sales management) or a combination of education and / or experience
  • Minimum three (3) years sales experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Fluent in French an asset
  • Obtain and maintain:

o Valid drivers license (Manitoba: Class 5)

o Security Clearance (Level 2 – Winnipeg Police Service)
