As a Business Development Manager, you will be selling biological wastewater treatment product lines to municipalities and some private industries. The role is to support and grow sales within Ontario, along with prospecting and acquiring new business. The base salary is $70,000-80,000 plus monthly car allowance, uncapped commissions and bonuses, and company paid health benefits with an OTE of $80,000-100,000 in the first year.

They provide products, system design, project consulting and management expertise for natural, manmade and industrial water bodies across Canada.

  • Head office Red Deer County, AB
  • This is a work-from-home position
PRODUCTS, SERVICES, SOLUTIONS

  • Water Treatment chemicals
  • Geared toward Municipalities as well as food processing plants, oils and gas mining.
SALES CYCLE AND PRODUCT VALUE

  • Average yearly revenue by client varies from $10,000-50,000
  • The average sales cycle can range from 2 weeks to 6 months, depending on client's needs
  • Quality, Service, and Delivery
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS

  • Primarily Municipalities, as well as food processing plants, oils and gas mining.
TYPICAL DAY AND DUTIES

  • 75% business development
  • 25% Account management, Administrative & Proposals
  • Offering and completing pricing quotations
LEADS

  • All in-territory inbound leads provided - 20%
  • Self-prospecting for the remainder - 80%
TERRITORY

  • Ontario- GTA and Surrounding areas focused
  • Some over-night travel required (5-10 days per month)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $70,000-80,000 Base Salary
  • $80,000-100,000 First Year OTE
  • $800 Monthly car allowance
  • Monthly Commission (uncapped)

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5+ Years of business development and sales Experience
EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience

  • Above-average Computer Skills & experience with selling over the phone.
