We have a 2 year temporary full-time opportunity available for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Integrated Planning Group. This is complex technical work leveraging information from a range of financial and non-financial sources to support decision making across the Engineering, Parks and Facilities Division. You will assess business requirements, recommend solutions, and work closely with the IT and finance departments to support business process improvement initiatives and the implementation of information technology.

This work requires a considerable degree of independent judgement and action.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Ability to provide solutions to complex problems and act as project lead for initiatives related to business processes and technology
  • Experience in budget management, contract management, project management and construction management.
  • Experience with budget management, work management, resource planning and asset management practices and systems.
  • Experience with municipal operations, budgeting, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of administrative management
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts
  • Ability to identify priorities and multi-task in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Positive attitude and professional work ethics
  • Excellent oral and communication skills


Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s level in computer sciences, business or engineering plus considerable related experience in an integrated information technologies environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid B.C. Driver’s Licence is required.

The salary range for this union position is $44.78 to $52.91 per hour (2021 rates) based on a 35-hour work week.
