Job Summary:

You are a Journeyperson Carpenter with experience on heavy civil projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on a heavy haul bridge construction. For you, safety and quality are a priority and you are proud of your work at the end of each day.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend blueprint readings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
  • Understand industrial concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers, and other structures
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing

Work Conditions

  • 14/7 shift schedule, working 11 hours per day
  • Camp based accommodation
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
