We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 17 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Cash Application Representative located in Vaughan, Ontario reporting to the to the Controller and Treasurer.

Your Challenge:

Under the supervision of the Controller and Treasurer, the duties and responsibilities of the Cash Application Representative, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Process daily cheque, EFT, and credit card payments;
  • Assist Credit Analysts with compiling customer credit applications and obtaining relevant information and credit references;
  • Post adjustments related to G/L - bad debt write offs and adjustments related to rebates for retail accounts or other accounts;
  • Ensure adjustments are posted to customer accounts daily;
  • Research and timely resolution of unallocated and unidentified payments;
  • Provide reporting and information related to cash applications to the Controller and Credit Analysts when requested;
  • Maintain accurate filing, document retention and purging of all cash app records;
  • Assist with NSF cheques communication;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or Business is required;
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high quality work;
  • Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer service, teamwork and relationship building abilities;
  • Experience with large ERP accounting systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a busy, open area office and/or virtually;
  • Able to work on a computer for numerous hours which may result in strain on wrists, eyes, back, etc.;
  • May have to spend long hours in concentration which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
