Our fine dining restaurant at the National Bank Open is looking to add an experienced Kitchen Manager to the team.
Event Description:
The National Bank Open is a prestigious professional tennis tournament that takes place from August 5th-13th.
Requirements:
- Restaurant, culinary and catering management/manager or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Culinary arts/chef training
- A Diploma or Degree in Culinary Studies is a definite asset
- Food Handler Certificate
- Maintains composure and thrives in a fast pace environment
Job Description:
- Set up the kitchen with necessary equipment according to the provided layouts
- Ensure there is ample smallwares and supplies for service
- Organize fridges and dry inventory
- Leads by example and works alongside their team members
- Plans and directs the activities related to the preparation and the cooking of the food
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
- Ensures that the quality of the food conforms to standards
- Insures the maintenance of a good work environment
- Run the hot food line
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1 week
Salary: $350.00-$400.00 per day
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
