Role: Coordinator, Child Care Scheduling (Northern Region)
Wage: $51,000.00 - $55,204.04 Annual Salary
Benefits: YMCA membership, paid sick days for yourself and family, 8% vacation pay

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Program:

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the
YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd,
Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe,
Tumber Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.

Responsibilities of this role:
• To work with Child Care Operations team to ensure staffing needs are met and legal

ratios are maintained in all programs
  • Develop work schedules for each program by allocating employees as needed
  • Responsible for employee timekeeping and managing time off requests
  • Liaise between team members and operations, fielding calls to notify of missed shifts
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff
• Adhere to and ensure compliance with all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA

Child Protection Policies

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a supervisory, managerial, or staffing related role
  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer service skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience working with databases
  • Process and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Take initiative and manage time effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices preferred
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable
  • Three satisfactory professional references
