Chocolate Experience Host (Part-Time)

Part-Time opportunity - meaningful working experience!

Seeking high-energy-dynamic individuals who enjoy working with people.

Your job will include running chocolate-making workshop events that are fun, stimulating, educational and hands-on.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Delivering engaging, hands-on programs for adults and children at various locations arcorss the GTA.
  • Equipment preparation: Ensure all equipment and materials required for the workshop are in good working order and packed securely for transport.
  • Equipment pickup and drop-off: Transport the equipment and materials to and from the off-site event location.
  • Venue setup: Arrive at the event location early enough to set up all required equipment, including ingredients, and tools.
  • Workshop facilitation: Host the workshop, providing engaging and informative instruction to participants of all ages, from children to adults.
  • Workshop restoration: Clean up the work area after the workshop, ensuring that all equipment and materials are packed away securely and left in good condition.
  • Client invoicing: Provide the client with an invoice for the event, including any additional charges or fees incurred during the workshop.
  • Client communication: Maintain effective communication with the client throughout the event planning process, answering any questions and providing updates as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Handle any unexpected issues that may arise during the event, including equipment malfunctions or participant concerns, with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Providing excellent customer service

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • G class drivers license
  • Food handlers certificate
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. culinary arts, hospitality, education) would be an asset
