Job Description
What you'll be doing
As a member of the Commercial Banking team, you’ll work with our clients to create end-to-end financial solutions to help build a comprehensive approach to finance growth, manage cash flow, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk. As a Senior Manager and Team Leader, you will lead and cultivate a team of Managers, Commercial Banking, who will be committed to delivering flexible business solutions, dedicated business expertise and timely business advice to help our clients realize their goals. You will lead and coach the business team to increase their capability to meet the needs of business clients and to identify referral opportunities for other businesses within CIBC. The Senior Manager, Commercial Banking analyzes issues, data, processes, and situations to originate new client relationships that leverage knowledge and expertise, and that meet CIBC risk tolerances and profitability hurdles, to grow the business banking business.

How you’ll succeed
  • Leadership – Provide active leadership and guidance to Managers, Commercial Banking, in executing and managing client relationships, including delivery of credit and cash management services. Create an environment which supports partnering behavior and capitalizes on individuals’ expertise to provide “best in class” service to our clients. Build team and individual capabilities to ensure employees can deliver on Commercial Banking’s value proposition.
  • Relationship Management – Develop new client relationships through business development activities leveraging referral sources, existing clients, and centers of influence. Actively monitor and manage these relationships by fully understanding our client’s goals, objectives, and status of our client's business. Structure, negotiate and document credit and cash management arrangements with clients and prospects that meet client needs.
  • Collaborate – Work with internal partners to connect clients with opportunities. Commit to building a profile in the local business community to leverage that profile into effective working relationships with new and existing clients and internal partners.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • You’re fluent in French and English to serve our clients in the community.
