Class 5 Delivery Driver Job at Lekker Food Distributors Ltd
Lekker Food Distributors is seeking a committed, energetic, and self-motivated full-time Class 5 Delivery Driver to operate out of our Victoria location.
We are a family-owned food distribution company, specializing in providing specialty food products to retailers and restaurants across Western Canada. We are looking for someone who will:
· Deliver products to customers in assigned route and provide first-class customer service to build/maintain quality customer relationships
· Operate company equipment in a safe and efficient manner
· Complete pickups and store deliveries in a safe and professional manner
· Communicate with customers in a professional manner
· Check freight prior to loading and unloading to ensure proper count and condition
· Perform preventative maintenance checks and pre-trip inspections on truck
· Adhere to all highway traffic board regulations and safety and traffic laws
· Adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
· Minimum valid Class 5 Driver’s License
· Driver’s abstract
· Ability to operate power tailgate and power jack
· Capable of lifting 20 kg; job is physically demanding
· Knowledge of Victoria an asset
Additional details:
· Permanent full time
· Tuesday through Saturday day shifts/early start
· $27.00 per hour starting wage
