BFL CANADA is looking for a Client Service Representative in our Quebec office!

As a member of our Quebec office, you will be responsible to work with the Client Service Manager to achieve company goals and provide quality service to customers, colleagues and insurers.

Your day as Client Service Representative

  • Coordinate renewal notices to the client; maintain relevant account documentation and correspondence.
  • Respond to telephone calls and written inquiries from existing and new business clients and insurers in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Prepare service offers for new business and renewals.
  • Negotiate with insurers for changes, renewals and new business as required.
  • Verify policy language and other documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure maximum retention of existing clients by providing exceptional service through regular communication with clients to verify the quality of service delivered and that their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Request and follow up on missing information, endorsements and policy documents from insurers.
  • Maintain renewal lists, records and files for policies so that they are organized and up to date.
  • Follow up with underwriters and clients on outstanding files.
  • Maintain an extensive network of market relationships.
  • Implement appropriate procedures related to claims administration and loss prevention measures.
  • Assist in developing client presentations.
  • Adhere to BFL policies and procedures as currently stated and as amended from time to time.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • University degree: preferably in business or finance
    • At least 2 years’ experience in insurance brokerage.
    • Insurance broker's license issued by the AMF.
    • Ability to work well independently, in a team environment and with other members of the organization.
    • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Thoroughness, attention to detail and quality and adherence to deadlines.
    • Effective time management.
    • Customer service oriented.
    • Bilingual (French and English).
