Co-op Student, Finance Transformation


The Opportunity:

Emera Inc. is hiring for the position of, Co-op, Finance Transformation for the Fall 2023 term (September to December 2023) with our Finance team.


This 15-week work term will enable you to gain an experience in data validation activities, comparing raw information and running reports etc.


What you’ll do:


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist in data validation of the OneStream implementation by performing the following:
  • Comparing raw historical information from Oracle EBS to raw information residing in OneStream.
  • Running reports in OneStream and comparing results to similar/reconcilable reports from Oracle EBS.
  • Where differences are identified in the comparison/reports above:
  • Reconcile to identify missing/erroneous information and advise project team and system implementers.
  • Rerun/compare revised reports to ensure missing/ erroneous information is corrected.
  • Assistance in other areas as identified from time to time.


Work term outcomes:


By the end of the work-term, the co-op student should have gained experience on aspects of a system conversion and the importance of data accuracy and report reliability.
