Job Description:

Communications Support is responsible for providing support to the Communications Department and Sales Yards, by providing superior customer service, horticultural advice and managing the sales yard’s communications by receiving inbound phone calls and monitoring and responding to emails.

The role of a Communications Support Admin is to help customers understand the products and services being offered by the company. They answer inquiries by phone, or e-mail and they also handle concerns, complaints, or other issues. Their job is to help ensure customer satisfaction and that the company’s policies and procedures are being followed.

LIST OF RESPONSBILITIES

· Address incoming inquiries via phone or email and pick up messages and return calls throughout the day

· Handle customer inquiries and complaints by providing solutions, often within a time limit to ensure the customer is satisfied. (Respond to inventory and price checks, email applications for trade accounts, answer horticultural questions, if possible, answer delivery and planting inquiries, take messages and distribute to applicable departments)

· Escalates customer issues to applicable supervisors/managers when concerns are unable to be resolved immediately

· Learn to identify customer needs or desires in order to recommend the appropriate product or service.

· Learn the software systems used by the company to be able to communicate effectively with incoming inquiries.

· Work with colleagues when necessary to resolve customer inquiries and complaints.

· Provide feedback to other departments to help improve sales, marketing, and business processes.

· Thorough understanding of our company’s products, policies and procedures to be able to answer any questions from customers.
