We are searching for an individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. The successful incumbent would be the go-to person to help our residents outside of regular office hours (evenings and weekends).

CHARACTERISTIC JOB DUTIES:

The incumbent is responsible for the following range of job duties characteristic, or typical of the job class:

• Accurately records day-to-day happenings using appropriate methods; maintains logbooks and completes occurrence reports
• Logs and documents incidents (personal hygiene, mental and physical health, communication, anger management, etc.) for residents
• Acts as resident advocate; acts as positive role model
• Coordinates resident care relating to security issues; performs bed checks and room/personal searches
• Ensures the ongoing enforcement of policies, which may include resident discipline
• Ensures the safety of property and residents by performing regular patrols of the facility.
• Ensures that policies are adhered to and reports and variance to policy (e.g. ensuring residents comply with phone policy)
• Conducts nightly check of grounds, facility and resident beds at start/end of shift, and keeps appropriate records
• Records and reports activities, behaviors, and any incidents which occur during the overnight shift; reports concerns promptly to on call personnel as needed
• Provides emotional support and/or crisis intervention for residents as required
• Ensures resident policy compliance throughout the shift
• Administers medications to assigned residents according to specific protocols
• Provides “wake-up” service for residents; assists residents with morning preparations
• Performs other duties as assigned
