Position Overview

Integrity Group of Companies specializes in the construction of highly efficient post-frame buildings across Western Canada as well as the supply of building products to homebuilders and customers in the Calgary and area market.

An integral part of Integrity’s Post Structures Department, the crew hand role requires a strong understanding of safety, effective communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work with a team, well developed problem solving, and a general understanding of trades and construction. Operation of various tools and equipment will be required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Constructing of various building types
  • Various service calls as required and requested by customers
  • Driving/operating and maintaining equipment (scissor-lifts, bucket trucks, skid steer, etc)
  • Communications and customer service skills to interact with customers
  • Ensure quality of workmanship, accuracy and efficient buildings to Integrity’s standards
  • Adhere to health & Safety policies and quality standards
  • The willingness to work extended hours as weather permits and within the guidelines of provincial labor laws

Education/Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience in the construction or building industry would be considered an asset
  • Prior experience operating construction equipment including scissor-lifts, bucket trucks, skid steer, etc.
  • Valid drivers license and the ability to get to work, often at rural locations (not accessible by public transit)

Skills/Qualifications:

  • General health and safety knowledge required to be on building sites
  • General understanding of building construction
  • General skills and understanding of most common hand tools
  • Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Self-starter with the ability to work cooperatively and be willing to assist others
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

Technology & Equipment

  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Forklift or other equipment operating certificates an asset

Travel

  • Travel throughout Western Canadian provinces may be required or requested and related to job schedule, comfort with this is a requirement of the job.

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
