AIS Technologies Group is currently recruiting another Controls / Robotics Programmer to join our team. We engineer and manufacture sophisticated automation and secondary processing equipment, vision systems and software solutions.

The Controls / Robotics Programmer is responsible for multiple duties, and will have 3+ years of related experience with either Siemens platform and/or Nachi Programming. They will be part of a team that designs and implements electrical controls, automation and drives projects, including IT-interfaces for all production machinery in manufacturing. They will ensure a variety of tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. These responsibilities include ladder logic programming, HMI development, specifying and correctly applying a variety of robotic platforms, technical writing, equipment debugging, and machine vision and systems integration.

Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements for the position:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience
  • A two-year technical degree, or a four-year degree in related field
  • PLC and HMI programming with a focus on Siemens systems and/or:
  • Nachi Robotics platform
  • Knowledge on other PLC/HMI/ Robotics platforms considered an asset
  • Skilled on the start-up and debug of the machine controls, electrical and pneumatic aspects of the machine
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic prints
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Previous experience in the automation industry is a plus
  • Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to organize and schedule tasks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
