The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for seasonal Cooks at Kinosoo Ridge Resort. This position is responsible for maintaining and delivering a consistently high standard of quality food presentation while ensuring compliance of all food safety regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations and perform basic food preparation.
- Maintain food portion control.
- Operate all kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Control and monitor food temperatures.
- Execute a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Organize, and sore goods following FIFO.
Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the position.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years restaurant experience preferred.
- Food Safety required (AHS or NFSTP).
- Working knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Courses related to safe food handling, first aid and workplace hazardous materials will be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
- Professional, personable, and positive attitude when dealing with customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Obtain a vulnerable sector check.
- Must have a flexible schedule with the availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Class 5 license will be considered and asset.
