SALARY: $24.121 (Min.) - $25.402 (Max.)

SHIFTS: DAYS, EVENINGS, AND WEEKENDS

Pay rate, benefits and other terms and conditions are as per the CUPE 139 Collective Agreement

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: 

Secondary School Graduate or equivalent required 
Completion of a Culinary Chef’s Certificate program required 
Knowledge of cooking in large volumes/baking procedures and methods required 
Recent related experience with all aspects of food handling required 
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools required 
Excellent working knowledge of Canadian Dietetic Association Clinical Dietetics is required 
Knowledge of infection control principles is required 
Must have the ability to participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to function

well in a team-orientated climate 

Ability to work in a fast paced high stress environment required 
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills required 
Must be able to work with minimal supervision 
Must be physically fit as position requires prolonged standing and walking 
Must have knowledge of proper body mechanics 
Excellent attendance and work record required 
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers

and visitors. 

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this
organization 

Bilingualism (English/French) an asset

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check:
recent within six (6) months is a requirement
