Cook – Berwick on the Park

Wage: $24.20/hr

Status: Full-Time

Schedule/Shifts: weekdays and one weekend day 6am-2:30pm or 10am-6:30pm

Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

• Undertake all aspects of food production, cooking and services.
• Follow the recipes/menu provided.
• Ensure overall quality and presentation of the food is tasty and visually appealing.
• Be conscious of food cost and wastage.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces and equipment used.
• Be aware of any, and follow restricted dietary needs of residents.
• Restock work areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Complete required HACCP and production logs.
• Maintain safe work environment at all times.
• Perform duties as per health and safety guidelines.
• Other reasonable requests from Management.

Qualifications:

• Cooking experience, preferably in the Hotel and Restaurant industry.
• Minimum 3 years’ cooking experience, with preference given to red seal certified but not limited too
• High School Diploma
• Food Safe Level 1
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to communicate with mangers, residents, and other employees.

Important note: **A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment. Tuberculosis Screening Test results and full COVID-19 vaccination will also be required. **
